Keeping Busy with New Work

This week has been hard and a little bit lonely, but I'm trying to stay busy with new work in the piano keys field. I'm waiting on some silver chains to arrive in the post, so that I can list the pendants on Etsy, and hopefully those will come today. I've listed two pair of earrings, and my first pendant began its long flight to Germany earlier this week.

Wildflowers...

Moonlit Mountains...

The Sound of Silence...

Morning Bird...

Summer Thistles...

Hymn to Joy...

Stay Tuned!

  3. Yes, a wonderful raw beauty, as says, Dawn; Lucky girl, to have the first! These are indeed such beautiful works, Rebecca! And, they do express two of your loves: nature and music, so very well!

  7. You are really doing justice to those old piano keys! They are works of art! My favorites are the birds and flowers! Sorry to hear about Bruschi. With all his health problems, it was probably the best decision for him. Oreo is nine years old and we will miss her when the time comes. Thinking of you and wishing you a wonderful productive week!

  8. After reading of Bruschi's passing, I had to send another comment (besides the one I left at "Letting Go"). Bruschi's spirit and heart were so strong, he will always be with you. A few days after we lost Penny (at 14 years), we heard the tapping of her little nails coming down our hallway on several occasions. My mother was not one to believe in ghosts, but she heard it as I did. I also saw Penny at the patio door about a week after she left us. I choose not to think it was a hallucination, but a visitation to let us know she was still around and watching over us. Call me crazy (and it has been known to happen), but I think Bruschi will be joining you at harvest time to make sure he gets his share of berries! Take care....

  9. What a fabulous idea for old piano keys! You are making them absolutely beautiful.

I have to comment on ArtAfterDark's post, I lost my "Whiskey"... she was a beautiful calico cat and companion I had for 16 wonderful years when my son was 6 months old (that was 3 1/2 years ago). Sometimes, I look down expecting to see a furry friend because I feel a cat rubbing against my leg and there is no one... I think it is her spirit. She was always under my feet. I still have my beautiful "Glove" but she is never around when I feel this sign of affection from beyond.
